About Our Marilyn
The principal of the agency is Marilyn McShannon. Marilyn is a Queenslander who has also lived and worked in both Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane over the past 35 years.
During those years, Marilyn spent approximately 25 years working with legal firms in all 3 cities, as well as 2 years with leading QC's in Brisbane. Marilyn also owned and operated her own conveyancing company in Sydney and moved into real estate approximately 10 years ago.
Marilyn is accredited with awards throughout Australia for her achievements in real estate. Marilyn is also a respected member of the REIQ and is a Commissioner for taking Affidavits in Queensland as well as a qualified Justice of the Peace in New South Wales. Marilyn is a fully licensed real estate agent in both New South Wales and Queensland.
Marilyn has been buying and selling properties on the Sunshine Coast for many years, and has now settled on the Coast herself. Driving through the hinterland in 2005, Marilyn found there was no real estate agency whatsoever between the towns of Pomona and Gympie, and hence opened Maramac Realty at 54 Main Street Kin Kin. Marilyn is widowed and has 3 adult sons. Her hobbies include walking, music, cooking and fishing.
